Video: Beer Milkshake Recipe

This recipe was inspired by Chow.com’s “How to Make a Beer Milkshake” recipe video and Betty Brown Norwegian Brown Ale from Lervig Brewery in Stavanger, Norway. Betty Brown Norwegian Brown Ale can be purchased in almost every store which sells beer in Stavanger and in a many places throughout Norway.

Ingredients:
½ cup/125 ml of your favorite dark beer, such as Lervig's Betty Brown Norwegian Brown Ale
2 ½ cups/3 large scoops of vanilla or chocolate ice cream
5 tablespoons/75 grams cocoa powder or malted milk powder

Directions:

Check out Lervig Brewery in Stavanger, Norway, producers of Betty Brown Norwegian Brown Ale. If Betty Brown is not sold in your area, as an alternative try Brooklyn Brewery's Black Chocolate Stout (via the Vinmonopolet) or Guinness which can be bought anywhere beer is sold in Norway.
