Phew – that was seriously the longest blogging break I’ve taken in ages and I have really missed you guys! How were your Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Years celebrations? I vlogged a few videos for you all but of course, YouTube won’t take them! And neither will Blogger. Urgh!!!!
This past November and December tested my immune system & time management skills more than I thought they would, and in the end, something had to budge – and it was blogging (boo! Sad face). But the time off from blogging served me well and I’m now happy to report that:
(1) Thanksgiving this year was a massive undertaking, but also a hugely successful join effort which included introducing T-Day to several of my friends here in Stavanger. Most of the 13+ people we had at Thanksgiving dinner this year had never been to one before & found the overload of butter, sugar and a certain bird whom I affectionately named Jerome, heartwarming and cozy (note to those of you not in Norway – coziness, is the MOST important concept to master in Norwegian life. No cozy-no ambiance, no ambiance-no love. Seriously – ask anyone.)
Apple Pie with apple roses on top
Pies, Pies and More Pies
Cornbread stuffing and half of the Thanksgiving spread

(2) I survived my last ever (!!!!) school exam, putting myself yet another step closer to MBA obtainment. Yes sir (or madam), I’ve only got one final hump to cross before I enter the subset of society known as “those having a Masters’ of Business Administration” degree. It’s a big international club, with an intimate following here in Norway. So yes, I am close to completing my MBA studies. I can actually smell the MBA steaks cooking on the graduation grill, but no, I am not quite there yet. I have one little thing left to do, and that is complete the research project and final summary of my findings aka, finish writing my Dissertation. Doomsday, oops I mean deadline day is Mar. 28.
(3) Digital [W]ord is on the move and getting closer and closer to web site launch. I opted to get ahead on my Dissertation instead of working on the web site in tandem over the Christmas holidays, so I’ve still got work to do there. Despite this, I’ve been contacted by a few companies looking for content masters to help flesh out their web site’s content strategy and by one company looking for a project manager to help them achieve some of their social media marketing goals. I’m stoked to be able to apply my skills and help companies achieve their goals in these areas.
(4) Christmas was interesting this year. Those of you who know me in my non-online life know, I'm not the biggest fan of Christmas in general but this year my body was taken over by Christmas aliens. Christmas 2012 was AWESOME. Loads of food, fun and friends - and presents!!!! Good times, dude, good times.
(5) Now that things have calmed down a bit on the 2-month long cold/exams/Dissertation/blogging events/consulting/Holiday celebrating front(s), I have come back to the preverbal blogging table with something new and exciting for 2013. I’m of course still working on said blogging project, but I do want to share that “big thangs” are happening at TFTF Blog in 2013! Even a site re-design. Yeppers – it’s all coming up in 2013. Whoop whoop!
So that’s the “411” (my update) as we say in Arizona.
See you guys soon again with another blog post, this time answering some questions I received on Twitter about learning Norwegian.
