How To: Guacamole Recipe
Guacamole
4 medium tomatoes
4 ripe avocados (cut in half with the pit removed)
juice of 1 lime
1/2 small onion, diced
2 finely minced garlic cloves
a small bunch of coriander/cilantro
up to 3 fresh jalapenos (I usually use 1 1/2-but I like it spicy)
salt to taste
Deseed and remove the skins from the tomatoes. To do this, cut an "X" on one end of the tomato, set it in a bowl and pour boiling water over it. After 10 minutes, take the tomatoes out of the water, pull the skins off and cut in half. Squeeze the juice out of the tomatoes, and dice into pieces.
Place the avocado halves into a bowl and mash with the back of a fork or a potato masher. Add the tomatoes to the mashed avocados and the rest of the ingredients. Let sit for 10 minutes and enjoy!

Yummy-looking! How about a quick recipe? Do you use a ton of cumin, and some jalapenos, and fresh lime juice? And where do you get decent chips for them? I have to make mine from pita bread I cut up, season, and toast in the oven.
ReplyDeleteTortilla chips are available for sale in every food store in Norway. I usually buy mine, but may be inclined to make some from scratch one day :-)
